National engineering firm opens new office in Midwest

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. (SGH), an ENR 500, award-winning, national engineering firm, is pleased to announce the opening of its Chicago office, located at 225 West Washington Street, Suite 2200, Chicago, Illinois 60606.  The expansion advances SGH’s commitment to serving clients in the region.

“We are pleased to officially open our doors in Chicago.  Clients with projects in Illinois and surrounding states have long been a part of our Building Technology and Structural Engineering practice.  We look forward to becoming an integral part of the local and regional architecture, engineering, and construction community,” said Glenn Bell, CEO of SGH.

SGH is continuing a long, steady period of growth.  Since 2000, the firm has tripled in size to over 450 employees and has opened four additional full-service offices in New York City, Washington D.C., Southern California, and now in Chicago.  SGH opened in Boston in 1956 and expanded to San Francisco in 1975.
