Architecture firm billings remained soft entering into 2024, with an AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index score of 46.2 in January. AdventHealth Off-Site Emergency Department Opens in Winter Haven

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of a new AdventHealth off-site emergency room in Winter Haven, Florida. The nearly 20,000-square-foot, 24-bed freestanding ER is the first phase to be built on a 42-acre site, which includes space for a full-service hospital and medical office building. The AdventHealth Winter Haven ER features a resuscitation room, a bariatric room, an isolation room, obstetrics-friendly room and pediatric-friendly rooms. Two triage rooms near the lobby help get patients seen and into treatment quickly. The ER offers lab services, X-ray, CT and ultrasound scans. Department of Labor to Restructure OSHA Regional Operations

The Department of Labor has announced strategic changes to the structure of its Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s regional operations designed to direct its resources effectively and make the agency more resilient. The changes include the creation of a new OSHA regional office in Birmingham, Alabama, overseeing agency operations in the state, and those in Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, as well as the Florida Panhandle.
