Colorado Callahan Capital Partners is planning to build Tabor Two Office Tower, adjacent to the existing Tabor Center on 17th Street in Denver. Tabor Two will be a 33-story, 800,000-sq-ft office building with retail space at street level and an outdoor terrace on the third floor that will connect both towers. Connecticut Scannell Properties is planning to construct a Coca-Cola distribution center in South Windsor. Illinois JAM Entertainment and Farpoint Development are planning to renovate the Uptown Theatre at 4816 N. Broadway in Chicago. The 4,500-seat theater is one of the largest traditional movie palaces in the U.S. and features a Spanish Baroque terra-cotta facade. Erected in 1925, it has been closed since 1981. The renovation will include the creation of a new exterior marquee. The Lamar Johnson Collaborative has been chosen as the designer. The project is valued at $75 million. JAM Entertainment, 205 W. Pennsylvania  Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch is planning to build a facility with the same name on a 334-acre site at 8069 Corner Rd. in Mercersburg. The facility will ultimately include eight barns, each 494 ft long and 120 ft wide, totaling 474,240 sq ft, housing 2.4 million chickens. There will also be a truck scale and manure pellet-storage space near the barns, with packing rooms and coolers in another structure. The project is valued at $90 million. Utah Dixie State University is planning to build a Human Performance Center on its campus in Saint George. The four- to five-story, 150,000-sq-ft building will contain faculty offices, teaching labs, classrooms, conference rooms and a computer lab. The project is valued at $39.6 million. Virginia  Erickson Living Retirement Communities is planning to develop the Erickson Living West Neck continuing care community on a 95-acre site in West Creek Business Park in Richmond. The development will ultimately comprise 1,450 living units, including independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing units. The project will contain 14 buildings, each four to five stories; 120,000 sq ft of community space (2.2 million sq ft total); and 1,900 parking spaces. The project is valued at over $200 million. California 1/8/19 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bidders to construct the Veterans Administration Long Beach Medical Community Living Center, which will replace a seismically deficient facility at the Long Beach Healthcare System main campus. The facility will have three levels, plus a partial basement, totaling 181,000 sq ft. The project is valued at between $100 million and $250 million. Minnesota 1/10/19 The Minnesota Dept. of Administration is seeking bidders to carry out the Grassy Point Kingbury Bay Restoration Project in Duluth. The project includes the following tasks: (1) dredge approximately 175,000 cu yd of sediment and wetland vegetation from Kingsbury Bay and transport material to the Grassy Point and 40th Avenue West placement areas, and off site; (2) dredge approximately 175,000 cu yd of sediment and wood waste from Grassy Point and consolidate material at Grassy Point; (3) construct gravel buttresses and a sand berm, and place dredged material to form a baymouth bar extension off the existing Grassy Point Island; and (4) provide shoreline protection material along island shorelines and hydraulic control structures at the inlets of Kingsbury Creek and Keene Creek.
