Milwaukee Brewers Unveil New Arizona Spring Baseball Home

In mid-February, the Milwaukee Brewers celebrated Mortenson Construction’s renovation of the team’s Cactus League and player development complex in the west Phoenix neighborhood of Maryvale. Formerly known as Maryvale Baseball Park, the renovated facility is now known as American Family Fields of Phoenix. The more than $65-million project included a new 106,000-sq-ft clubhouse with locker rooms as well as fan enhancements highlighted by new concession areas, retail stores, seating and a video board. The complex also features a new entry plaza, renovated space for sports science and psychological services, an eight-lane batting tunnel, an agility field, new pitching and catching mounds, a high-performance practice field matching the dimensions of the Miller Park in Milwaukee and improvements to each of the seven playing fields. The facility was designed by HKS with International Facilities Group serving as owner’s representative.
