The largest private project in both size and cost in the history of Montana, the Yellowstone Club is a 15,000-acre luxury resort and residential community that offers 100 ski runs and an 18-hole golf course designed by PGA champion Tom Weiskopf. Four new buildings, an underground parking structure and a new central plant were built to serve the current ski base and a planned gondola. Faced with limited local manpower and housing resources, the team initiated a broad recruiting effort that drew workers from 47 states, Canada and beyond. Much of the workforce lived in Bozeman, nearly an hour away, so tour buses were brought in for daily transportation of workers.
