Green building experts form regional partnership in Pennsylvania

Green building experts form regional partnership in Pennsylvania

New group focuses on high-performance buildings in the mid-Atlantic region.

By Design Synergies | July 21, 2014

Milton, PA – July 19, 2014 –Seven individuals from central Pennsylvania have formed Design Synergies Green Build Partnership to design green building projects and otherwise promote sustainable building in the region. “We are an eclectic group that brings a diverse mix of talents for green building design to the table along with a passion for sustainability,” says Tom Gibson, one of the group’s founders.

Design Synergies focuses mostly on central PA but can cover the entire mid-Atlantic region. The group can handle the entire project spectrum from brainstorming initial concepts and gathering public input to designing systems and then construction oversight and system commissioning. They can assemble a team tailored to a specific project and bring in outside capabilities as necessary.

The group was founded on the premise that while we have made tremendous strides in developing green buildings in the area, with many buildings achieving LEED certification, we have a long way to go to become sustainable. New techniques, materials, technologies, and rating systems are coming along that bring ever-improving results but also challenges in design.
