Baker Glasgow

Clancy & Theys Construction Co., Raleigh,  announced the promotion of Baker Glasgow to president. With the company since 2005, Glasgow previously served as vice president of construction. In his new role, he will define and lead corporate strategy and vision while also working to enhance the organization’s infrastructure, systems and processes.

“I’m excited about the opportunity, and it means the world to me that the Clancy family has entrusted me to lead this organization,” said Glasgow.

Anne Darnall

Anne Darnall, based in Charlotte, has been named national transit and rail deputy market sector leader for the Eastern region at WSP USA. Darnall will lead strategic growth strategies and business development in collaboration with the firm’s national transit and rail systems leadership team as well as local and regional transit and rail executives. Darnall, with 23 years of industry experience, most recently served as an international engineering firm’s vice president and business development director overseeing transportation and water infrastructure business. 

Karen Winger

In WSP’s Atlanta office, Karen Winger joined the firm in a role aimed at assisting Southeast transit agencies with their transition to sustainable, zero-emissions vehicle fleets. As Southeast zero-emissions lead, she will be responsible for providing business development and technical expertise supporting the firm’s fleet and facilities business. For the past six years, Winger had served as the transit division director for the Gwinnett County, Ga., government.

Ali ElnaamaniLori Jones

In Atlanta, the Burns & McDonnell family of companies recently appointed Ali Elnaamani and Lori Jones to leadership positions. Elnaamani leads the regional team for the firm’s 1898 & Co. subsidiary, while Jones will oversee the regional global facilities group for Burns & McDonnell. 

Elnaamani, with 14 years of experience in industrial controls, operational technology cybersecurity, risk, compliance and technology consulting, joined 1898 & Co. in April 2021 as director of industrial cybersecurity.

Jones, with more than 20 years of engineering, construction and project management experience, was promoted to lead and deliver manufacturing, industrial and commercial facilities projects.

Tom Davino

Also in Atlanta, Tom Davino joins 1898 & Co. as a utility consulting manager. Davino, with 15 years of industry experience, will utilize his knowledge in the electrical distribution system with the application of technologies to improve grid performance.

Justin Sobol

In Florida, Justin Sobol joins Burns & McDonnell as the Southeast water group manager. He has 15 years of experience in project development and management work.

TranSystems has hired Bo Sanchez as senior vice president and Southeast regional leader overseeing sales and operations across Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. Sanchez has 34 years of experience with a focus on the toll industry. He is based in Longwood, Fla. 

Brooks Lastinger

Brooks Lastinger has joined Woolpert’s Spartanburg, S.C., office to lead the firm’s Next Generation 911 efforts with state and local governments. Lastinger has more than 17 years of experience in local government GIS, with a focus on geospatial data integration. Previously, he served as the National Emergency Number Association’s NG911 lead for New York City. 

Kenneth Faas

Turner Construction Co. has appointed Kenneth Faas as preconstruction manager of its Tampa office. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Faas will be responsible for all estimating and preconstruction services across the Tampa Bay region.

Candice Scale

Engineering firm Freese and Nichols, Atlanta, has hired Candice Scale as Georgia account director. Candice has experience supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other Dept. of Defense organizations in asset management and will lead the firm’s business development and client relationship management in Atlanta and the Southeast. 

Sean Stauduhar

Catamount Constructors, Roswell, Ga., has promoted Sean Stauduhar to project manager. Stauduhar, who started with Catamount as an intern, has seven years of construction industry experience.


Steven Price

Steven Price has joined Stevens Construction, Orlando, as project manager. The 20-year industry veteran has extensive experience in the health care, senior living and education construction sectors in Central Florida. He is currently leading projects within Osceola Regional Medical Center and Central Florida Regional Hospital.

Bryan Covington

Engineering and planning firm Stewart has hired Bryan Covington as a project manager for its structural practice in Raleigh. In one of his first assignments, Covington is managing the structural design team for the 26-story 1200 Metropolitan Tower in Charlotte.  Prior to Stewart, Covington supported large-scale projects across the state, including the North Carolina Central University School of Business.
