280 Land Company LLC is planning to build Edgefield Farm, a residential development, on a 197-acre site at the intersection of Anderson Rd. and Andrews Rd. in Opelika. It will include 342 single family home lots, 165 townhome lots, a pavilion, pool, playground and sports fields. Stone Martin Builders has been selected as the general contractor. ARIZONA

XNRGY is planning to carry out Phase 2 of its U.S. headquarters development. Phase 2 involves constructing 750,00 sq ft of manufacturing space in the new Gateway East development, next to the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. XNRGY makes large customized air handling systems. IDAHO

MICHIGAN

The Michigan Dept. of Management and Budget is planning to build a new Public Health and Environmental Science Lab in Dimondale. The three-story, 305,000-sq-ft building will consolidate lab space for the Departments of Health and Human Services; Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy; Labor and Economic Opportunity; and Agriculture and Rural Development. It will include one Biosafety Level 3 lab. It will consist of 66% lab space, 19% office space and 15% warehouse space. It is being designed by Hobbs & Black Architects Inc., and the Christman Co. has been chosen as the construction manager-at-risk. NEW JERSEY

Solvay Specialty Polymers USA LLC, is planning to carry out a comprehensive remediation project at its 243-acre West Deptford manufacturing facility, where industrial plastics, coatings and other chemicals have been produced for over 30 years. The cleanup will address PFAS, semi-volatile organic compounds, volatile organic compounds, metals and PCBs. In addition, the company must help fund public water system upgrades necessary to remove known PFAS contamination from drinking water, as well as investigate and address potential impacts to public water systems and private potable drinking water wells in and around West Deptford. NEW MEXICO

Vexus Broadband is planning to construct the Vexus Fiber Network in Pojoaque. The fiber-to-the-home broadband network will provide access to symmetrical, multigigabit-speed internet service for homes and businesses. Construction is expected to start in April 2024. RHODE ISLAND

Carpionato Group is planning to build One Hundred Harris, an apartment building, in Providence. The six-story, 782,000-sq-ft building will contain 353 residential units and 475 indoor parking spaces. 12/5 A joint venture of BOWA Construction, AECOM/Hunt and Clayco are seeking subcontractor bidders to carry out the Chicago O’Hare Airfield Terminal Area Plan Enabling Path Scope Projects. The first component, the Central Detention Basin, includes 250,000 cu yd of lime modified earthen materials, preparation of the temporary taxiway subgrade, and paving of a new bituminous flexible pavement section taxiway approximately 300 ft wide and 1,000 ft long. The second component is the South Detention Basin, and includes excavation of 260,000 cu yd of earthen materials, to be embanked in the Central Detention Basin, and restoration for a westward expansion of the South Detention Basin.
