Caterpillar has laid off 120 temporary workers at its Victoria, Texas, facility, according to published reports. The plant manufacturers crawler excavators, and employees 600.
The Victoria Advocate cited a Caterpillar spokesperson who said the move was “to bring production in line with demand.”
The spokesperson told the paper that the workers served as support for the plant’s manufacturing operations.
