Buro Happold promoted structural engineer Yasmin Rehmanjee and mechanical, electrical and plumbing experts Robert Okpala and Panji Grainger to partners in its New York City office. Julie Janiski, a certified passive house consultant, and a leader in the firm’s Boston office, also has been elevated to partner.

STV has promoted its Northeast regional manager David Isabelle to senior vice president. He oversees multidisciplinary transportation and infrastructure project teams in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Canada. The firm also promoted Will I. Flores to senior vice president from vice president.

 

Hatfield Group, a New York-City based structural engineering firm founded by Erleen Hatfield, a former Buro Happold partner, has named Rebecca Jones as principal and Cori Kwitkin as associate principal to oversee structural engineering teams. Jones had been senior project manager at Simpson, Gumpertz & Heger and was senior associate at Thornton Tomasetti, and is director emeritus of the Structural Engineers Association of New York. Kwitkin was associate principal at Thornton Tomasetti.

Tony Bond

BOND Brothers Inc. has made several appointments in New York and New England. In the executive suite, the firm named Tony Bond as its president and CEO. Kane Cuddy replaces him as president of BOND Civil & Utility Construction. The Medford, Mass., firm also started a new business, BOND Mechanical Construction LLC, based in New York City, with Kenneth Durr as president, Frank Heidenger as vice president of operations and Stacey Dillon as vice president of estimating and purchasing. BOND’s civil and utility business promoted Christopher Decker to senior vice president, Michael Moore to director of field operations and Alan Watson to vice president-project management, all in New England.

 

Wan Li Zhu

Boston-based Suffolk hired Wan Li Zhu as managing director of Suffolk Technologies, its venture capital arm investing in construction technology. A founding adviser to Suffolk Technologies, Zhu was a partner at Fairhaven Capital, a Boston-based venture capital firm. Suffolk also hired Patrick Brophy as senior director of Northeast external affairs. He had been in Boston city government, most recently as chief of operations.

 

Jennifer Miller

Tighe & Bond Inc., a Westfield, Mass.- based engineering, design and environmental consulting firm, hired Jennifer Miller as a senior project manager in its water business line. Based in Portland, Maine, she was a project manager for infrastructure water resources at Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam Inc. in San Marcos, Texas.

 

Tom Hazlett

Woodard & Curran appointed Tom Hazlett as its municipal business unit leader. The position at the Portland, Maine, design firm was formerly shared by now president of consulting Joe Barbagallo and Alyson Watson, the firm’s CEO. Hazlett most recently served as director of technical practices for the firm’s water infrastructure practices.

 

Ryan Lynch

South Coast Improvement Co., a design-build general contractor, hired Ryan Lynch as a business development manager. He joins the Marion, Mass.-based contractor after working in a similar role for Senne.

 

Whitney Libby

Whitney Libby has been hired by Schimenti in its New York City office as director of human resources. She also was recently accepted into the Forbes Human Resources Council. Prior to joining Schimenti, she had been senior director of human resources at Gartner.

 

New York Power Authority has appointed Daniella Piper to dual roles: western New York regional manager, based in Buffalo, in charge of operations for the Niagara Power Project and agency chief transformation officer. She had been chief of staff for Gil C. Quiniones, NYPA’s president and CEO.

Ray Master

Lendlease has appointed Ray Master head of environment, health and safety, Americas, based in the firm’s New York City office. Previously, he was a consultant for the U.S. Dept. of Energy.

 

 

 

John T. Evers has been named president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York, effective July 1. Most recently, he was senior director of government affairs for the Business Council of New York.

CetraRuddy has made 10 key promotions. Chris Lee and Sohith Perera are now associate principals. Four new senior associates are Dolly Alvarez, Meredith Cocco, Charles Thomson and Willis Ting, and four new associates are Sara Azizian, Kristopher Duritza, Ali Tabatabaie Ghomi and Danielle Radel.

Raffaela Dunne

Raffaela Dunne has joined VHB as Northeast institutions market leader for New York and New Jersey. She was senior vice president of Washington Square Partners Inc. in New York City.

 

 

HNTB has named Lori Katzman and John Seaboldt as deputy office leader–discover and deputy office leader–deliver, respectively, in New York City. Katzman has served as senior project manager for the MTA Bridges and Tunnels NY Crossing Program Cashless Tolling Implementation. Seaboldt has been project manager of HNTB’s design services contract for the MTA Penn Station Access project.

Syska Hennessy appointed Brendan Carroll, previously controller at the firm, to associate partner, based in New York City.

 

Mohammed Nasim

Mohammed Nasim has joined NJ Transit as chief of construction management. He was previously at Amtrak, where he served as project manager for Gateway Program projects including the Hudson River Tunnel and Portal North Bridge.

 

 

 

Princeton, N.J.-based integrated design firm JZA+D has hired two project designers: Yadie K. Meko, who received a master’s degree in architecture from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and Stewart Tillyer, a graduate of the Syracuse University School of Architecture.

Daniel Zarrilli has been named a special adviser at Columbia University, where he will consult on all matters of institutional sustainability and climate action. Formerly, he was chief climate policy adviser to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Infinite Consulting Corp. has hired Thomas D. Reed as vice president-director of security services. He was vice president and deputy program executive at MTA Capital Construction.

Joseph Montalbano has joined AECOM in New York City as vice president and regional commercial and corporate market leader for the U.S. East region and Metro New York. He had been a principal at HLW International LLP.

J.S. Held, a Jericho, N.Y., consultant, named Frank Holder chief operating officer. He was managing director and chair of global investigations at Berkeley Research Group, which J.S. Held acquired. Holder now leads a 30-person global investigations practice for its new parent focused on investigative and security consulting work, with offices in Miami, London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Singapore, Tokyo, Mexico City and Panama City. Holder is an expert in risk management, national security, corporate investigations, operational risk and crisis management with a proven track record of leadership in key roles for global consulting firms.
