ENR Northwest is proud to announce that Apollo Mechanical Contractors has been named Specialty Contractor of the Year.

Founded in 1980, Apollo is a Native American-owned firm that specializes in mechanical, plumbing and sheet metal work. The family-owned company has offices in Kennewick, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Missoula and Spokane, with a combined total of more than 1,500 employees.

In 2017, Apollo's market share in the Portland region expanded to include multiple projects with the Portland School district in its endeavor to modernize existing, historical schools. In the Seattle area, work began on the International Arrivals facility at Seattle-Tacoma International airport. The Sea-Tac project is an important project for the Port of Seattle, and when complete will feature a pedestrian walkway that will span 900 ft over the existing, active taxiway.

The firm is constantly looking for ways to be involved with the community, including the donation of school supplies and a cooling mister/fan during a recent hot August to Kennewick’s Burst A Bus campaign, where volunteers fill a bus with school supplies for local kids in need.

Readers will be able to learn more about Apollo in a profile story that will publish in the November print edition of ENR Northwest.
