Project EverGreen Announces Volunteer Registration Drive

Project EverGreen needs volunteers for two of its key nationwide programs that serve military families and disabled veterans. Register to be a GreenCare or SnowCare for Troops Volunteer and You Could Win A $500 Home Depot Gift Card.

Project EverGreen - www.ProjectEverGreen.org - needs volunteers for two of its key nationwide programs that serve military families and disabled veterans.

GreenCare for Troops and SnowCare for Troops match green industry volunteers with families of deployed military personnel, and post 9/11 veterans with service-connected injuries or disabilities, to lend a much appreciated and welcome hand.

Program volunteers agree to provide basic lawn and landscape services (lawn mowing, tree trimming, weeding, etc.) and/or snow removal, free of charge to these military families during the length of the deployment or registration period. This is generally one year or less for deployed troops, and no more than two years for disabled veterans.

If you register to be a GreenCare or SnowCare for Troops volunteer by April 30, 2017 and agree to help at least one family in your area, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 Home Depot gift card.

“Volunteers are the heart and soul of our programs. By providing these valuable services, military families gain peace of mind as well as a serene yard to get outside and unwind. It also often enables disabled veterans to remain in their homes while they focus on healing and re-connecting with their families,” says Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “Please step up and join us in taking care of our nation’s heroes. Whether it is one family or multiple families, we appreciate your participation.”
