The Future of Home Building and Residential Construction

Panasonic today announced Panasonic Eco Systems North America, a division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, has received the 2023 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.

Each year the ENERGY STAR program honors a group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. ENERGY STAR award winners lead their industries in the production, sale, and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services and strategies. These efforts are essential to fighting the climate crisis and protecting public health.

How do products earn the ENERGY STAR label?

To earn the ENERGY STAR label, products must meet energy efficiency requirements that adhere to specifications based on these principles:

  • Contribute significant energy savings nationwide
  • Deliver features and performance demanded by consumers, in addition to increased energy efficiency
  • If more expensive than a less-efficient counterpart, consumer will recover their investment within a reasonable time through utility bill savings
  • Energy efficiency can be achieved through widely available, non-proprietary technologies offered by multiple manufacturers
  • Energy consumption and performance can be measured and verified
  • Labeling shall effectively differentiate products and be visible for purchasers
