ARKANSAS

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Dept. is planning to carry out the Gill Street and Railroad Overpass improvement project in Little Rock. The project includes the replacement of the eastbound and westbound Highway 10 (Cantrell Road) bridges that span the Union Pacific Railroad, Gill Street and Water Works Drive. The project also includes two separate bridges for pedestrian and vehicular traffic on the north and south sides of Highway 10, respectively. The project is valued at $16.8 million. VERMONT

Three Rivers Ice and Recreation is planning to build an indoor ice rink arena in Saint Johnsbury. The new facility will include two rinks, an indoor turf field, a 200-meter indoor running track and 12,000 sq ft of athletic space. It is being designed by Friar Architecture. WASHINGTON

The Urban Renaissance Group and Pacific Coast Capital Partners are planning to redevelop the former Lincoln Executive Center in Bellevue into the Cascade Yard Executive Center. The project entails upgrading five existing buildings on the 14-acre site, and erecting two 11-story towers containing 600,000 sq ft of office space, 300 residential units, 30,000 sq ft of retail space and a 1,150-stall parking structure. WEST VIRGINIA

The Monumental Public Service District is planning to upgrade the Lewisburg water plant to bring its treatment capacity up to 4,000 gallons per minute. WISCONSIN

Core Spaces plans to construct Oliv, a student apartment building in Madison, at the intersection of State and Gorham streets. The project entails demolishing four existing buildings, deconstructing three building facades and rebuilding them into the new 10-story building, which will contain 451 housing units, 24,723 sq ft of ground-floor retail space, a rooftop terrace and pool, and 209 vehicle spaces. Affordable Concepts Inc., a general contractor, has started building Sonata Trails Apartments in Albuquerque. The project encompasses 32 two-story buildings totaling 299,445 sq ft and containing 241 units. In addition there will be a pool. The project was designed by PAZ Design Group LLC. TENNESSEE

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently evaluating submitted bids from design-build teams seeking to build a new explosives decomposition chamber facility at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport. It will treat the hazardous explosive-waste streams in an emission-controlled thermal treatment facility, which will utilize the Dynasafe - Static Detonation Chamber  and Air Pollution Control System. The project is expected to be completed by October 2026. The project is valued at between $25 million and $100 million. TEXAS

10/26 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bidders to carry out safety modifications to the Lewisville Dam, a 6.2-mile-long, 120-ft-tall  earthen embankment dam on the Trinity River, 34 miles upstream from Dallas, that was constructed in 1955. The work includes installing post-tensioned anchors through the ogee weir, and an upstream geomembrane blanket. The anchors will be founded approximately 130 ft below the spillway weir foundation. The upstream geomembrane blanket will be installed in the approach channel of the spillway below the current grade and attached to the ogee monoliths. A cofferdam will be required across the approach channel for the installation of the membrane. The project is valued at between $25 million and $100 million. 11/23 The Metropolitan Transit Authority/NYC Transit Authority is seeking bidders to replace New York City Transit’s existing fixed block relay-based signal system at four interlockings between the Jamaica 179th Street Station and the Van Wyck-Briarwood Station on the Queens Boulevard F line in the borough of Queens. The existing system will be replaced with communication-based train control technology. The project is valued at $10 million.
