Every year since 1983, New York City’s Public Design Commission has awarded projects with its Excellence in Design Awards, given to public projects in any of the city’s five boroughs. Selected from hundreds of submissions, the Commission reviewed the entries and chose 12 projects to receive the award for 2016.
