Inventory is exempt from property tax. Effective for facilities placed into service between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2019. The business must obtain a direct-pay sales and use tax permit from the State of Arkansas. That is, for property with a fair market value of $1 million, the assessed value would be $200,000.
