HS2 slammed for failure to provide value for money

The House of Commons Public Accounts Committee says that HS2 now represents very poor value for money and neither the Department for Transport (DfT) or HS2 Ltd knows what the final benefits of the project will be. Costs have continued to escalate and neither the DfT or HS2 know how much the project will now cost, a PAC report says.
