Pay deal for nuclear builders heads-off strike threat

A pay deal on behalf of 1,000 construction workers employed on EDF’s power station sites has headed-off planned strike action. Following the agreement, the strike action at Hartlepool and Torness due to begin today will not go ahead. This scheme will be rolled out to all seven sites in January 2024.
