Baltimore City is Adopting the IgCC

That is under the bill a developer may pursue LEED Silver certification, compliance with ASHRAE 189.1 The Maryland legislature enacted enabling legislation permitting local governments to adopt the IgCC in 2011 and Baltimore will be the first to do so. Waivers may be key for projects that have been designed, but not yet permitted.

While the IgCC 2015 was approved 2 years ago, that version is not approved for use by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development which requires each jurisdiction in Maryland use the same edition of the same building codes.

Montgomery County to Abandon LEED Mandating IgCC for All Building
