You do not need to be a futurist to know that SEC regulation of ESG is coming although precisely when has been unclear, however, it is now apparent that the SEC will release a proposal at its March 21 Open Meeting.

Maryland Adopts 42 New Environmental Laws in 2021

The 442nd session of the Maryland legislature adjourned on April 12, 2021. Maryland has been described as having more pages of environmental statutes and regulations on a per capita basis than any other state. The bill applies prospectively to new construction for which a building permit is issued on or after October 1, 2021.
