Machinery and equipment from the factory of collapsed modular house builder ilke Homes is being auctioned off this month. Ilke went into administration in June when its North Yorshire production plant was closed and 1,150 staff lost their jobs. The Flaxby Moor factory had the capacity to produce 2,000 homes a year. Ceredigion County Council has secured Welsh Government funding for the £31.6m Aberaeron Coastal Defence Scheme where BAM Nuttall is lined up as main contractor. The council has been working on the plans for five years alongside consultant engineers Atkins.
