In 2015, San Marcos snared the largest job-creating project in the history of the city and surrounding Hays County—Amazon’s new fulfillment center, which is bringing more than 1,000 jobs to the region at the site. The establishment of the regional headquarters is expected to generate an estimated $94 million in capital investment.
