In 2012, the Port of New Orleans completed more than $100 million in new infrastructure projects port-wide in order to grow its facilities to handle rising trade volumes tied to the Panama Canal expansion. Houston (Zone 84) and El Paso (Zone 68) also shined in BF’s new ranking of top Foreign Trade Zones.
