Some of the largest I-joist manufacturers have brought products to market that do not comply with DCA3, backed instead by privately commissioned fire test reports based on proprietary assemblies. As is often the case when referencing multiple proprietary standards, different manufacturers’ specific requirements can conflict with one another.
