Wichita’s aviation manufacturers are supported by the National Center for Aviation Training and Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research.

For example, this year we supplemented our traditional Best Education Climate ranking with a scorecard of the states that emerged out front in the fierce competition for federal Race to the Top education funding. For the past few years, we have issued a Metro ranking for our annual evaluation of aerospace/defense manufacturing leaders.
