In December 2002, the former U.S. Naval Air Facility in Goodyear, now known as Phoenix/Goodyear Airport, was designated as an MRZ. Participating companies are compensated by being able to reduce their federal income tax liability with a tax credit between $1,200 and $9,000 per qualified employee, depending on the target group.
