The Port currently has service by two Class I railroads, Norfolk Southern and CSX—both offer double-stack service to critical manufacturing and population centers. The project, which began three years ago and is expected to be completed by 2017, is more than halfway done after workers finished dredging an 11-mile stretch, known as Reach D.
