Samsung recently announced it will invest nearly $4 billion dollars to expand and renovate its manufacturing plant, creating 600 new permanent jobs and 3,000 construction jobs. Biotech research spending has more than doubled in the region since the year 2000 and there are 12 new research facilities currently under construction.

The other thing we’ve learned is they’re very interested in construction methods, engineering technology, legislation, regulation, and safety topics that go across the industry as a whole. Construction of wind turbines set a record in 4Q 2013 with 10,900 megawatts of capacity being added; nationwide, nearly 50,000 turbines have been installed.
