Today there are only 3,392 LEED CI 2009 projects. That Gold opportunity is because LEED v4 is a significant upgrade to the LEED 2009 version of the rating systems. Be aware that building envelope commissioning is now included in this credit. Actually the numbers are surprisingly low when compared to other LEED rating systems.

Which at first blush might appear to not necessarily a bad thing, given that the IgCC, first published in 2009, has only been adopted, in whole, but mostly in part, in maybe 17 jurisdictions, out of the more than 4,400 code adopting jurisdictions across the U.S., so there was room for wider adoption of a 2018 IgCC. Sec 1001.3.2
