A few weeks ago we noticed that we had a linked architectural model with named and numbered rooms. The weird thing is some of the linked spaces in the MEP model were showing up as “unassigned” Not all of them, just some. IFC-BIM Exchange Forum. Revit User Group of Nebraska. BIM Board of Omaha.

I often redefine some architectural families to be 2D in my model to keep the model size down and lessen interference issues. He told me that if you place all the families you need in a single project and group them, you cam insert that group into the architectural file and ungroup it there, bringing all the families in at once.

You know this if you have tried adding a ceiling grid with Revit Structure, duct with Revit Architecture, or structural steel with Revit MEP.
