Howard County, Maryland has become the first jurisdiction in the state and one of few places in the country to pass a mandatory “bird-friendly design” law for new construction of privately owned buildings. The bird-friendly design standards that the Director adopts by regulation and that are equivalent to Pilot Credit #55.
