£53m race to cut Magnox reactor buildings down to size

Nuclear decommissioning client Magnox has started the tender race for major demolition work at its former Trawsfynydd nuclear site in Gwynedd, North Wales. As part of the ongoing decommissioning of the site, Magnox has started the bid race for the complex project to reduce the height of the site’s 55m tall reactor buildings by around a third. The shortening work represents a significant milestone in the programme to safely and sustainably decommission the site.
