The way I got around the above mentioned error was to open a structural model I received from a different engineer on a different job. I gave presentations at three of the four BIM Workshops this year. The first was in Omaha (August), the second in Anaheim (September), the third in Phoenix (October) and I wasn't part of the fourth event in Honolulu. Indulging in a little historical review, the Omaha event is four years old now. She brought the event with her.

As Ive written before , just make it easy to "draw on paper". As I wrote in my reply there, RTN is sleight of hand while RPN is really altering the entire model and related views to change orientation. While in school, during my junior and senior years, I worked for a small engineering firm back in my hometown, originally from Omaha, Nebraska. I tried to push them towards Revit and BIM as a whole. I was initially put in charge of taking all of their standard 2D models, and their library of details, and turning them into 3D details.
