I created a video to describe what happens when Revit contours dont quite match up with the underlying cad file contours that were used to generate a toposurface. The first part of the video explains that the Site Settings usually dont match the contour interval settings of the cad source file. Changing these settings is often enough.

When a wall is selected you might notice two blue dots at either end of the wall. Grab this blue dot and stretch the wall to any length you want. You might also notice that when you change the location line of a wall this blue dot will relocate, reflecting your newly chosen location line. National CAD Standards.

The other issue is when the data in the CAD file is small enough in extents but really far away from the files origin, according to the WCS which is all Revit really pays any attention to.
