In the more than 4,400 code adopting jurisdictions across the country only the town of Gaithersburg , Maryland has adopted the 2018 IgCC. To add flexibility while preserving sustainability, the enactments creates a new section eleven for electives, of which at least 10 points must be achieved. GBI Two Green Globes rating.

On March 18th the Tomkins County legislature enacted a new local law providing for up to a 10 year property tax abatement for construction achieving LEED certification. The 442nd session of the Maryland legislature adjourned on April 12, 2021. Maryland has been described as having more pages of environmental statutes and regulations on a per capita basis than any other state. The new laws compiled below add to that already very green environmental regulatory scheme. Prohibition on Balloon Releases.

There may be no single subject matter more discussed with over the more than 20 year history of LEED than forest product certification.
