It is Washington’s last Pre-Revolutionary colonial building on its original foundation. A reminder of Georgia’s colonial history, the Horton House was constructed in 1743 by British military aide Major William Horton. The structure is made of tabby, a unique concrete that was common in Georgia at the time.
