Ive been teaching our office how to use Revit Architecture. We used to complain that CAD drawings looked horrible and now that concept has nearly been forgotten. Plus in-place families detract from performance of the team, model and file. What you get out of your model depends on what you put into it. Revit Beginners.

Ive been teaching our office how to use Revit Architecture. Monday, August 21, 2006. This isnt necessarily a bad habit as long as they are using detail lines and not model lines (detail lines are view specific but model lines will show up everywhere). Outside of being clumsy, the other issue with some of these tools is cost, Codebook for example doesnt work as a business model for small projects, unless youve got the big project(s) to cut your teeth on it and standardize it. skip to main | skip to sidebar.

These divisions, while relevant to the architectural model, are ruining the possibilities of creating gbXML files without extensive work on the part of the engineer to remove the room separation lines, and then repair the damage done to the room names and numbers. Joe - in the examples he offered it isn't "poor" modeling.

Over here on the MEP side, we will take an hour to make, say, an air handling unit per the 2-D selection drawings from the vendor, add the necessary connectors, then 'load into project' We will then save it as a stand-alone family, with a useful file name, in a server folder with the vendor's name. 11:20 AM.
