This isnt necessarily a bad habit as long as they are using detail lines and not model lines (detail lines are view specific but model lines will show up everywhere). Thursday, December 24, 2009. You know this if you have tried adding a ceiling grid with Revit Structure, duct with Revit Architecture, or structural steel with Revit MEP. The way I got around the above mentioned error was to open a structural model I received from a different engineer on a different job. Not all Revit is equal.

These divisions, while relevant to the architectural model, are ruining the possibilities of creating gbXML files without extensive work on the part of the engineer to remove the room separation lines, and then repair the damage done to the room names and numbers.
