Still, that has not deterred me to consistently use the colour ‘red’ on my construction models as a warning sign, highlighting that an element is either under-defined or wrongly defined by the design consultants or others in charge of it. Model based communication supports this idea splendidly.

I consider myself to be a model-based construction information practitioner (shortened to a ‘BIM- meddler’) rather than an ‘expert’ or even ‘specialist’ Thursday, July 26, 2012. As in, not just view, or re-purpose information provided by design consultants. It can’t really be that hard.

Linking building and site. This is the procedure we use for linking building and site. Once you have your building(s) modelled start a new project. Link your building(s) into your new site model and adjust their elevation and orientation so they are properly located in the topography. Save your site model.

Surveys and Site Plans. elevations, sections, 3D views, etc (similar to model lines) and youll have to adjust its visibility one view at a time. It loaded viewing the model from the bottom of the floor, under the building.
