This workaround involves drawing a repeating detail line (with imported text) on top of a simple detail line. Goto Drafting. Now draw a detail line in any view of your project. Draw your repeating detail over your new detail line as though tracing the detail line. National BIM Standards. GSA BIM Resource.

To add to the complexity, the as-built drawings we had on file were not accurate to the true construction of the existing structure because the original architect had improvised the design during construction. First off (before you get upset at my comments) You guys are doing great work for Revit and BIM!!! I completely understand the desire to replicate your graphic standards and the like but in-place families mostly detract from a BIM, rather than add to them. especially as documents became a secondary deliverable to the coordinated BIM.
