Ive been teaching our office how to use Revit Architecture. We used to complain that CAD drawings looked horrible and now that concept has nearly been forgotten. Plus in-place families detract from performance of the team, model and file. What you get out of your model depends on what you put into it. Revit Beginners.

Ive been teaching our office how to use Revit Architecture. We have one model that was started in Revit before we knew any of the limitations of Revit. This isnt necessarily a bad habit as long as they are using detail lines and not model lines (detail lines are view specific but model lines will show up everywhere). These divisions, while relevant to the architectural model, are ruining the possibilities of creating gbXML files without extensive work on the part of the engineer to remove the room separation lines, and then repair the damage done to the room names and numbers. Joe - in the examples he offered it isn't "poor" modeling.
