Last week the American Institute of Architects released the 2017 edition of the A201 family of contract documents, including updated versions of the AIA’s documents developed for the design-bid-build delivery model. The previous version of the design-bid-build contract documents included a Sustainable Project version.

AIA releases 13 new and updated contract documents

It was revamped to address the legal implications associated with joint venture business relationships. The new agreement allows a contractor and subcontractor to agree to a predefined set of terms and conditions that apply to multiple scopes of work. The Joint Venture Agreement for Professional Services also got a significant update.
