First thing you have to do is open the door (or other) family and add a reference plane (as shown below). Now select that reference plane and make sure that under its properties you change the Wall Closure parameter to TRUE. You can also add a second reference plane to control exterior and interior wall layer wrapping separately.

In the options bar youll notice that you can "Reference other view" (for referencing a drafting view that is already present). Just draw a reference plane at the angle you want (and in the location you want for your section line) then place your section line adjacent to the reference plane. National CAD Standards.

First thing you need to setup are reference planes. Now the trick is that after youve created your elements you have to Edit the work plane of each element so that the elements are attached to the reference plane you would like them to "travel with."
