In grade school, Dennis’s art teacher noted his ability to draw and suggested he consider a career in art. There Dennis learned about “on-site design” from Jack Goldman.

The construction market in St. Louis is like anywhere: cyclical. The first question was easier to answer: We were best at Design-Build. Design-Build opportunities were still rare in St. Louis at the time, so we needed to cast a wider net. The Korte Company had never done Design-Build for the Postal Service.
