About a year ago GS rebranded its ArchiCAD, its logo turning from a somewhat curvy A to an arch with a point. I’d rather be known as an expert in a toolset that requires an additional clarification of ‘you know, used to be called ArchiCAD’ then just … ‘you know, ArchiCAD’. I came across a software comparison recently.

That said, BIM has been preoccupied with 3D visualization to the extent that many/most feel that Revit, Archicad, et al are all that’s needed to implement BIM. Organizations don’t deal well with change. An ontology enables replicable processes, reusable data, information sharing, low cost of decision support, etc.

Some food for thought: Could it (read that as "it will") be better to let the walls be modeled as they will be built (with dead spaces in between), rather than using in-place walls that simply mimic old methodologies, like CAD or Hand drawn lines filled with poche or hatching? It is more suited to a model that is about graphics.
