You'd then have consistent walls to schedule, etc. I completely understand the desire to replicate your graphic standards and the like but in-place families mostly detract from a BIM, rather than add to them. It seems to me this notion of using Revit (BIM) and "us" isnt all that different. Meanwhile, autodesk provides dismal documentation.

One curious thing that is documented at the WikiHelp site regarding these new view types , changing a view from one type to another does not actually apply the view template change that is assigned (if any) to the view. Tip: Theyve added View Template to the available fields in View Lists (schedule) so it can be managed there too.

If you look at your new schedule youll notice that under the column Submit for SD you can check which sheets you want to apply to your Schematic Design Submittal Package. They were however using them for the room finish schedules. Area plans could help document such things but then floor plans would be "ignorant" of what these kinds of "areas" are, no tagging possible, just "dumb text". They are documenting what is dedicated to what and identifying them using the feature as intended by the developers.
