Custom line styles can be created using dashes, text, spaces, dots and vector graphics literally providing you with the option to create any shape or size. Designs evolve, grids get moved, storey levels get changed – entire floors added or deleted etc., But, it is still a pretty good example of how any part of a building must to go through its development, no matter what approach you choose, from a traditional Design-Tender-Construct, fast track to D&B.

When a wall is selected you might notice two blue dots at either end of the wall. Grab this blue dot and stretch the wall to any length you want. You might also notice that when you change the location line of a wall this blue dot will relocate, reflecting your newly chosen location line. National CAD Standards.

I created a video to describe what happens when Revit contours dont quite match up with the underlying cad file contours that were used to generate a toposurface. The first part of the video explains that the Site Settings usually dont match the contour interval settings of the cad source file. Changing these settings is often enough.
