The last trick is, when you go to place the elevation, you choose "Reference other view" in the Options bar. From Reference other View you can choose either drafting views (good for site/existing condition photos) or any view saved as a "rendering" (image) in the project. Revit Zone. First thing you have to do is open the door (or other) family and add a reference plane (as shown below). Now select that reference plane and make sure that under its properties you change the Wall Closure parameter to TRUE. You can also add a second reference plane to control exterior and interior wall layer wrapping separately.

In the options bar youll notice that you can "Reference other view" (for referencing a drafting view that is already present). Just draw a reference plane at the angle you want (and in the location you want for your section line) then place your section line adjacent to the reference plane. National CAD Standards.
