It's a pretty common question, "How do I manage the shared details?". In an earlier post I wrote about the Insert Views from File tool that Revit added several years ago. Only necessary to manage sheet reference and detail numbers during the course of the project and add new shared details if they arise.

In Revit there are three ways we can apply keynotes to drawings. We have to manage an external keynote file (TXT) and use specific annotation tags that work with this external data. In the image below I'm using a cool tool called Keynote Manager to review keynotes. First we have a formal tool called, not surprisingly, Keynotes.
