you can draw a simple building and link in a simple building (by shared coordinates) and move these two icons around a bit (clipped and unclipped) to see how the two models react or. It's a bit of a pity that these things do not seem to be so wll documented in the helpfiles. in 2002 and am currently a member of AUGI.

When Revit Systems was released in 2006, the essence of Autodesks marketing commentary was, "this is new software so it probably doesnt make sense to tackle a project with it unless the architecture team is using Revit too." Why assume that there is no value in creating a model of the MEP scope of work even if the architect doesnt use Revit?

These divisions, while relevant to the architectural model, are ruining the possibilities of creating gbXML files without extensive work on the part of the engineer to remove the room separation lines, and then repair the damage done to the room names and numbers. Joe - in the examples he offered it isn't "poor" modeling.

The whole model is still there, just not visible, thatll provide some relief for performance sake. In my case Im interested in closing their worksets, "hiding" their elements globally until I need them again which is still "seeing" but not from a documentation standpoint.
